Second call for proposals for BBI JU

New €106 million for research and development are unveiled for bio-based initiatives to turn renewable resources into useful bio-based products.
The announcement comes in the form of a second call for proposals for the Bio-Based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU), and will support research and innovation actions, including demonstration actions for making the best use of biomass.

Valagro Carbone Renouvelable, winner of Agrobiobase award 2015

Elected by the participants of the international congress Plant-Based Summit (April 8&9, 2015, Lille, France), the 100% bio-based super-absorbent SAP-BIO-09, developed by the R&D center of Poitiers, was distinguished by its innovative feature, its bio-based content and its environmental and socio-economic impact.
SAP-BIO-09 can be used in products requiring high absorption capacity, like diapers, absorbent paper, cosmetics gelling agents, etc.

Publication of the IAR study "The international overview of bio-based chemical building-blocks"

The competitiveness cluster Industries & Agro-Ressources (IAR) publishes the study "The international overview of bio-based chemical building-blocks", real tool for strategic decisions to understand the markets.

Ten years of evolution are decrypted, which include analysis of technologies evolutions, biomass used by stakeholders, typologies of developed molecules, pilot and industrial units, production capacities, with a systematic comparative analysis of the 52 studied molecules.

Green light for Bio-Based Industries (BBI) PPP

In the framework of the ambitious Innovation Investment Package, EU governments have given their green light for the strategic public-private partnership Bio-Based Industries (BBI).
The BBI is expected to bridge European research knowledge with commercial scale bio-based products, making full use of European scientific and technological knowledge.

Agrobiobase Award's Winner & Awareness to bio-based products

Agrobiobase award 2013 was presented November 20, 2013, during the International Congress Plant Based Summit to reward the company FLAX TECHNIC for its product TWINFLAX P-PREG.

In its role as democratization, Agrobiobase has raised local authorities and environment business awarenesses of bio-based products, based on an email campaign sent to over 5,000 contacts.
