Circular economy:
- Valuation of hemp fiber
Hemp is a hardy crop grown without pesticides. It allows the grower to clean their soil naturally and thus reduce their use of phytosanitary products. Thanks to its pivot root, it restructures soils favoring the presence of earthworms. Finally, this culture is encouraged by the water agency on drinking water catchment areas.
- Use of a zero waste industrial process
Géochanvre has developed a unique hydroentangled process. Only water is used. This one is very little soiled and is treated by lagooning. All dust and hemp waste can be reused
- Geochanvre buys Hemp within 200km around the plant based in Burgundy Franche Comté where the culture is widespread
- The mulch fabric obtained is 100% biodegradable 100% bio-based
